After a career in the City and with two young children, I completed a City & Guilds in Soft Furnishings before setting up my own soft furnishings business. After a house move to the Midlands, I completed a two year Interior Design course at Staffordshire University before gaining valuable experience in an interior design retail showroom in Sutton Coldfield. I decided to take the plunge and founded Ruth Marshall Interiors in 2008. On returning to Surrey in 2016, I continue to work on residential projects both locally and throughout the UK from my home studio in Carshalton.

We don’t have a ‘signature look’, preferring to work creatively with our clients to really understand their requirements and to ensure we enhance the space in which they live. We take a friendly and professional approach, and believe that attention to detail is paramount, ensuring that any project closely follows and develops the brief to ensure that the finished results delivers a unique look that it still feels like home. Most of our clients are busy families who know what they like but are short on time or simply struggling to pull everything together.

Our aim is to make the whole design process a pleasure, with an end result that they would not have achieved had they struggled on their own.
